All you need to know about PM Modi's NEW mandir campaign ahead of grand Ayodhya temple opening

The consecration of Ram Lalla in the newly built temple in Ayodhya will take place at 12.20 pm on January 22, and the preparations are in their final stages. Despite the profound significance of this event, both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the temple administration are making appeals to devotees, urging them not to travel to Ayodhya on the specified day due to the anticipated large crowd.

Devotees planning to visit Ayodhya for the darshan of Ram Lalla are advised to consider postponing their visit until after January 26, as the crowd is expected to subside by then, said Champat Rai, the General Secretary of the Ram Mandir Trust.

After January 26, devotees will be able to have darshan of Ram Lalla till 12:00 in night

He appealed, encouraging people to visit and have darshan of Ram Lalla after January 26. More importantly, he assured devotees that after January 26, the temple would remain open until midnight, till darshan is concluded.

Rai also added a light-hearted remark, suggesting that some individuals might express discontent over keeping a five-year-old child (Ram Lalla) awake during the extended darshan hours.

How will you be profitable after January 26?

Indeed, a significant congregation of devotees is expected in Ayodhya on January 22. This surge may lead to challenges in getting accommodation and obtaining meals, as all hotels and guest houses in Ayodhya are reported to be fully booked on that day. The sheer volume of visitors could make navigating Ayodhya on January 22 quite challenging, with limited space even to move around. Additionally, the presence of PM Modi will designate the entire area as a VIP zone, further impacting the ease of visiting Ayodhya on that specific day.

Given these circumstances, it may be more convenient for devotees to plan their visit in the days following January 22. Subsequent to this date, the crowd is expected to diminish, providing better opportunities for accommodation and food. Starting January 26, hotels may be available at more reasonable rates, and devotees will have the chance to witness the darshan of Ram Lalla until midnight.

How is the idol of Ram Lalla?

Providing details about the temple and the idols, Rai said all three idols of Ramlala would be retained by the Trust and accorded due reverence. He shared information about the Ram Lalla idol, stating that the worship rituals would commence from January 16, and the placement of the idol on its pedestal in the sanctum sanctorum is scheduled for January 18. However, the consecration ceremony is slated for January 22.

Elaborating on the description of the Ram Lalla idol, Rai highlighted its dark colour and notable weight, approximately one and a half tons. He underscored that the idol symbolises the divine incarnation of Lord Vishnu, manifested in the form of a five-year-old child. The unique characteristic of the idol lies in its ability to embody both divinity and a childlike form, adding to the profound religious and ceremonial significance associated with the revered Ram Lalla.

PM Modi's appeal

The PM made a special request to the people during the inauguration of Ayodhya Airport on December 30, asking them not to come to Ayodhya on January 22 for the consecration of Lord Shri Ram. He emphasised that it is not possible for everyone to come to Ayodhya and requested the Ram devotees, especially those from Uttar Pradesh, to come to Ayodhya after January 23 as per their convenience. The PM urged people to avoid coming to Ayodhya on January 22 for security and arrangement reasons and to wait for Lord Shri Ram's darshan after the formal programme on that day.
