People’s Front will fail: Amit Shah
Yadadri-Bhongir: BJP national president Amit Shah on Wednesday said the coalition of People’s Front floated by Congress, TDP, TJS and CPI will be a failed exercise in the ensuing elections.
Addressing a public meeting at Choutuppal in the district, Shah said the Congress position in the country was weak, as it was confined only to three States.
“At a time when the BJP is waging a battle against Naxalism, Congress has been extending support to urban Naxals,” he said,
adding that Congress was responsible for the increasing activities of Naxals in the country.
“Congress is forging alliances with other parties only for the sake of power, and not to protect the interest of the country”, he said.
Stating that the Congress high command had the habit of insulting Telugu people, he pointed out how it had not even allowed the mortal remains of former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao, who belonged to Telangana, to be brought into the AICC office in New Delhi.
“The party did not allow even his funeral rites to be performed in New Delhi. People are also aware of how Congress humiliated former Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh late T Anjaiah,” he said.
